New York Yankees were closely linked to Slugger Eugenio Suárez on the commercial block, but the Bronx Bombers won an agreement for the third goal of the Colorado Rockies, Ryan McMahon.
Now that the Yankees have filled their hole in the third goal, they can turn their attention to the addition of a launcher or two to the starting rotation.
Zachary Rymer de Bleacher Report recently suggested the Yankees could get a job For the Arizona Diamondbacks launcher, Zac Gallen, in the coming days.

“Gallen was a competitor All-Star and Cy Young Awards since 2023, but he was simply not this guy in 2024 and fell from the table in 2025,” wrote Rymer. “His 5.58 ERA ranks on only Alcantara among the qualified launchers. He also leads the National League with 23 authorized circuits, so it is not a case of talented launcher who is dubbed in oblivion.”
“Yankees have been looking to add a starter since Clarke Schmidt went under the knife to undergo Tommy John surgery. May Gallen be the best they can do is questionable, but what really brings the circle together, is the way they line up with D-Backs as a business partners.”
Gallen is the perfect purchase option for Yankees. New York does not have a busy agricultural system, so pitches like Mitch Keller, Edward Cabrera and Sandy Alcántara could be out of its price range.
Add Gallen, who is sitting on an expired contract, is exactly what the Yankees need. It would not cost them a ransom of the king to acquire, but he has the potential to return to his self at the level of the AS.
This year, Gallen holds an MPM of 5.58 and has sold 12 points deserved in his last 11 lanches launched. He may need a change of decor, which could come with the Yankees.
