Fandedded Jason Reed recently set up a shocking commercial idea, suggesting the Los Angeles Dodgers could cut links with the star launcher Dustin May In a profession that would send him to New York Yankees.

“The dodgers are becoming healthy at the right time, and with the starting rotation that is starting to take shape, the young Flammethrowrower Dustin May has become someone who could be on the market,” wrote Reed. “After all, once Blake Snell returns, there is really no room for May in a rotation in the playoffs.

“May is a free agent after this season, and the only movement that Dodgers can do on the deadline is to exchange one of their starting launchers. New York Yankees should undoubtedly be interested in May, because they could use another arm for a potential thrust of World Series.”

But could this idea have a meaning for both parties?

The short answer is no, but let’s dive.

Yankees apparently seek to add any launcher to which they can get their hands. A business for controllable may would work perfectly. Yankees could get their guy without having to exchange the assets it would take to land someone like Seth Lugo or Sandy Alcántara.

If the dodgers were entirely healthy, it could make sense. But this is not the case. In fact, Los Angeles probably seeks to add a launcher starting to the deadline, and not to subtract.

Trading May would put dodgers in a greater pitching tightening than with the goal. The team could move to the enclosure of the readers if they meet with too many beginners in the playoffs. Cutting the links with him does not seem logical for the moment.
