Islamabad:
The Pakistan Sports Board has formed an inquiry committee on irregularities in a Pakistani party going to Germany for World University Games.
The three -council committee headed by Director PSB Lahore will be forced to submit a comprehensive report within 15 days.
According to a notification issued by DGPSB approval, FISU World Games have surfaced serious irregularities, including team officials, discipline, logistic issues and disappearance of two players.
All the team officials except a coach were HEC or university officials, who raised questions about transparency. According to HEC, two students have been reported missing or escape during the competition. The women’s relay team was disqualified for 4 × 400 competitions. A judo athlete participated in coaches and proper competition uniforms.
In the light of these facts, PSB has established the three -MEMBER inquiry committee. The committee will be headed by the Director PSB Lahore Nurish Saba, while Nasrullah Rana and Saif -L -Rehman Rao will be members.
The inquiry committee will review the selection processes of HEC, the foundation and transparency of the selection of athletes and team officials, determining the responsibilities of each officer included in the committee whether their participation was according to the existing principles.
The committee will identify the missing or escape status of two athletes, review and negligence or disqualification. The committee will also identify the lack of research, preparation, selection or lack of supervision due to the disqualification of the women’s relay team.
According to the TOR, the committee will also determine why the judo athlete was not given a uniform for the competition and why it was taken part without a coach. The committee will recommend appropriate action against those who are mismanagement, careless or lack of duties. The committee will be obliged to submit a comprehensive report within (15) days from the date of issuing notification.
