Hill FC’s Will Price feels that he is now a better player than his magic in Australia, even though some can see his move as a “failure”.
The 22 -year -old Price joined Huddersfield Giants in New Castle Nights in 2024, but was limited to only six games in the NRL before leaving on the basis of sympathy earlier this year. A few days later, his move was confirmed in Hill, and he quickly appeared in five Super League before suffering a hamstring injury at the end of May.
“Everything about Australia, I definitely remember it. I miss it very much.” Sky Sports On Bench Podcast “I think the lifestyle is very good. There were some terrific people around me. And I could probably live and maybe this year I could hope to get some NRL games under my belt, and hopefully if the injured goes on my way.
“But when I used to sit and talk to John (Kart Wright, Hill Head Coach) and Richard (Miller, CEO), we just talked about how they invest in me to be an important part of the team.
“I think anyone can say, especially in my age, I really don’t really want to be inside and out of a team anymore. I want to try and play a week in a week and prove that I can do this at this level.

Price explained his decision to join Hill FC
“I obviously had the opportunity to stay in New Castle. I probably had a couple of opportunities to stay in Australia for a while. But to me, it was about playing a first -grade rugby, and I wanted to come here.”
Price is ready for Miss Hill’s next Super League game. Which is directly on Sky Sports+ against Hudders Field from 3pm on Saturday – But next month, Selford can return against Red Devils. Whenever its next features, Price will take its lessons from Australia.
The Price added, “I think my expectations may have been to play a little more NRL game than myself, but now, looking at it, did I work hard to play the game with them? No,” Price added.

Price discussed the change in the direction of Hill FC
“It was not until I started keeping the graft in the mid -year and started working a little, began to put the Fitr, strong, strong, better performances together in the reserve grade that I had the opportunity to play the NRL.
“I am really proud of the way I turned it and worked hard and took myself out of the area of rest. There are not many English boys who can say that they have played in the NRL. Obviously some people can turn and say that this is a failure, and I am not failing.

“But to me, I have learned a lot of life lessons. I have learned a lot of rugby lessons that I may not learn in England.
“You do not find it here in Newcastle from the coaches in Australia. You do not find it here. So, going there at such a young age has given me a good step, I will say.”
