What should I do if I have lost contact with my references?

By Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter

The original question (which I share) was a really wrong question. Here I answer the correct question and try to help someone take action.

How to marketing yourself as a job seeker – Scoop inside

The original question I have received is, “If you have lost touch with employers and previous contexts, is there still hope for you as a job seeker?”

As you can see, I changed the question, “What do I do if I lose contact with previous employers and references?”

However, what is the most revealed is the real question.

“all is lost.”

“I am doomed.”

Stop it. Seriously, stop it. You have found a mind. Wait for a second and say, “If I try and find my best friend, with whom I have not talked in 5 years, what do I do?” The answer is that you will see them on Facebook. You will find them on LinkedIn. You will go online. Why is it different?

The fact of this fact is that it is no different. To re -establish contact with people you were not in contact for a while, you start asking yourself, “Where did they tell me that they lived again, again?” Then you will search a Google.

“Where did we work together?” Then he went into a linked -in search and looked at him as a name and “current or previous employers”, and obviously it would be a previous employer. You can always search a Facebook and see if you can join them and then leave them a quick note and say, “I am very sorry that I have been out of the loop for some time. I want to get back to you. Did you have a few minutes to speak? How can I get your grip?”

Just contact! You may feel uncomfortable doing it. get over it! They are humans who may need you at some point, right?

Be flexible. Be friendly Accept that you would like to do it differently in the future. Reach them using the online tool. You will find them. it’s not that hard.
