The Cook Government has officially welcomed the applications for Round 32 of the Investigation Promotion Scheme (EIS).
In Monday (August 4) announcement, mines and Petroleum Minister David Michael said that EIS continues to support innovative exploration in Western Australia.
Michael commented, “By working with industry and regional communities, we are intensifying mineral discoveries, supporting local expertise, and building jobs to ensure WA.”
He said that the Geological Survey of Western Australia plays a central role in supporting exploration across the state, not only as a coordinator of EIS, but also by providing high quality geosines required to reduce risk and encourage investment.
Coming back in 2009, EIS is “focused on the demand of the long-term stability of the state’s resource zone and significant minerals on infection in a pure-zero energy system.”
The scheme hosts co-funded programs for drilling, geophysics and energy analysis. These programs provide financial assistance for innovative exploration drilling, greenfields geopolitical survey and energy system projects.
Last October 2024, the government announced that 50 successful applicants were assisted through round 30. This included the choice of Nakshatra Resources (ASX: CR1) and its Fraser Range Copper-Nickel Project and Mineral Resource (ASX: Min, OTC: MARRF) and its West Pioneer Dome Asset.
Kula Gold (ASX: KGD), who reported a significant gold blockage from the first hole in his Mustang Prospect in April, also made part of Round 30.
Round 31 applications were opened in February 2025, while successful applicants were detected in April.
Round 31 roster is formed Wildcat Resources (ASX: WC8, OTC: WDCTF), which for its Paris Gold Project for their then are your then torque lithium projects, torque metals (ASX: Tor, OTC: TRQMF), and rarex for your Khalesi Ri Project.
Tabba Tabba said on 29 July that its pre-exploitation study confirms the capacity for the lithium mine of a long life in Pilbara, while Diamond Drilling has started in the Paris Gold project of torque until July 28.
The submission time limit for Round 32 is 29 August. Like the previous round, an average of 50 companies and their projects are to be supported by the program.
