WB Regional Vice President concludes the visit of Pakistan

The Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan (MNAAP) region, OoussMane Dione concluded his visit to Pakistan on Friday

Islamabad, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News -25th July, 2025), Osen Dioon, Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan (MENAAP) region, concluded the Hole -Three -Dig visit in Pakistan on Friday.

According to the WB Press Relails Issue, it marked its first trip to the material, as it aligns with the newly expanded and classified World Bank sector.

Donon met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and met his government along with major counterparts along with major counterparts to discuss Pakistan’s development priorities. “In my discussions with the leadership of Pakistan, we discovered the country’s major development priorities, implementation of the new country partnership structure and owing reform agenda. Promoted inclusive economic growth and employment generation, influenced by the government’s commitment to further human development.

He also met Ahad Khan Cheema, federal economic affairs federal minister, Sardar Ahmed Khan Leghari, Federal Energy (Power Division), and Ahsan Iqbal, federal plan, development and special interactive minister Ahsan Iqbal.

In these meetings, he discussed how the new World Bank of Bankal alignment would support the country’s program in providing rapid and more efficiency.

Dyon visited Karachi, where he met Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah and Sharjel Inam Memon, Provincial Minister of Sindh, Provincial Minister of Sindh for transport and mass transit. He discussed operations in Sindh, focused on flood response, housing and reconstruction efforts, as well as Sindh’s experience in addressing Bal Tejashwi.

Given his integer with the Government of Pakistan and local and international partners, Donon assured him about the continuous support of the World Bank Group for the people of Pakistan.

“We are committed to help the child in Pakistan solve important challenges including stunting, poverty learning, climate flexibility and air pollution,” he said.

Donon was included in his meetings by Bolorma Amgabazar, World Bank’s new country director for Pakistan, Zeeshan Ahmed Sheikh, Country Manager for International Finance Corporation, Fadia Sadah, Regional Practice Director for Human Development and Almud Vetz, Regional Exercise Director for Weaving.
