The United Nations, (APP – Urdupoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2025) United Nations Security Council Friday met behind closed doors, with Betheen Thailand and Cambodia between the border clashes, all 15 members called the parties to desectate, shown restraint and resolved peacefully.
No statements were issued after the council meeting, held under Pakistan’s prescription, but diplomats reported that fighters were asked to liking dialogue and diplomacy on conflict and to settle the issue through bilateral means.
In this regard, the diplomats said that the Pakistan-resolution on “peaceful disposal of disputes”,
Which was unanimously adopted by the council on Monday, provided a way to bring forward the dispute.
The diplomats also said that the council also addressed the Regional Organization, Association of Southst Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Pakistan’s UNAM Ambassador Asim Ittikhar Ahmad Council has included intentions in diplomacy, with eighth parties with eighth parties after the outbreak of borders.
While Cambodia has called for an immediate ceasefire, the Thailand is a solution of dialogue through the bilateral mechanism.
The council’s emergency meeting was held at Cambodia’s request.
Cambodia ambassador to the United Nations, six KO spoke to reporters after the meeting. Cambodia, he said, immediately, for an unconditional ceasefire, and called for a peaceful solution of performance.
The permanent representative of Thailand to the United Nations, Chardchai Chaviyade issued a statement in the council meeting.
He said that Cambodia resumed dialogue in good faith to remove all enmity and actions of aggressive people.
There were military clashes on Thursday in the disputed border area between the two countries.
Thai officials say at least 14 people have been killed, and a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Cambodia says that 13 people, including eight citizens, have died.
The last heads of the two countries erupted, in 2011, when the border day was fighting near the historic Preh Vihear Temple-A UNESCO World Heritage Site.
