Geneva, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – 23rd July, 2025) A new United Nations report highlights how far the world has been in renewable energy since the Paris Agreement on Climate Change in 2015.
The report was released in a speech by United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Gutres, which underlined the benefits and acts required to strengthen the infection globally. The United Nations report was designed with the support of United Nations agencies and partners – including the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
Gutres said, “Eladi, which matches fossil fuels in globally established electrical capacity.
In 2023 alone, the clean energy sector ran 10% of the global GDP growth. In India, 5%. United States, 6%.
China – A lead in energy infection – 20%. And in the European Union, about 33%.
And clean energy sector jobs now move ahead of fossil fuel jobs – employment to about 35 million people worldwide.
“Why? Because it makes an economic understanding,” Guterres said in his address “A moment of the opportunity: to supercharges clean energy.”
WMO supports global energy infections by helping national meteorological and hydrological services (NMHSS) to generate and implement weather, water and climate intelligence for clean energy development at the national level.
Robrta Bosolo, WMO Climate and Energy Lead said, “As the world rack for fossil fuel infection, we should also translate intelligence between a channel, which are a clean, relative and energy energy for the future for the future.”
