Uber is launching new feature in certain American cities that will allow rider women and drivers to choose to be equaled exclusively with other women, the company announced on Tuesday. Called women’s preferences, the pilot program aims to give users more control, confidence and flexibility when using the application.
The deployment will start in the coming weeks in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Detroit.
Uber said that this decision responds to the comments of women who want a greater choice in the way they roll and lead.
