The DPO said in a statement that the entire region got angry to deal with the case and motivated fast action from local law enforcement.
“Ten persons involved in the incident were arranged on the spot,” said the DPO. However, the main accused are keen to escape.
After about a week of manhint, the police succeeded in tracing and arresting Karie Umar and his son, making the total number of arrests in the case 12.
A tragic incident rocked the Chaliyar area of Khwajkhela tehsil in Swat, where a 12-Jawa Madrasa student, who was identified as Farhan, allegedly died for severe torture by his teachers.
For police officers, Farhan was brutally beaten by teachers from a religious madrasa to be absent from classrooms. The child was transferred to a hospital in critical condition, but was declared dead on the road.
After the incident, a first information report (FIR) was filed against Madrasa’s head teacher Muhammad Umar, and his sons Ehnsullah and Abdullah. Police confirmed that Abdullah was arranged, which were being raided to apply in the remaining two sockets.
Apart from three main sockets, Khwajkhela police station also registered a case to seven seven and madrasasa teachers after the complaint was filed by two other children. All 10 persons faced allegations related to Farhan’s death.
