Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakim Feddan has made it clear that Ankara will directly interfere to prevent any attempt to divide Syria, whether it is from any fighter group or external power.
The statement came in the backdrop of recent clashes between Darz and Syrian Budu tribes in Southern Syrian Province Swaida. Hakim Fedman said that his warning was actually for Israel, which, according to Turkey, is following the policy of partition to weaken the country in Syria.
He condemned the Israeli attacks on Damascus last week, saying the attacks were part of the conspiracy to vandalize peace and stability in the region. He said that such measures can benefit Kurdish terrorist groups, which is a terrorist organization according to Türkiye.
Hakim Fedman warned that no group in Syria should see the current chaos as an opportunity to gain independence, as doing so should invite “a huge strategic devastation”. He said that Türkiye would threaten and answer any such task for national security.
The Foreign Minister said that many problems can be solved by diplomatic sources, but if someone crosses the border, Türkiye will not sit quietly.
