Tribute to Patus Bukhari ACP

Karachi, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2025) Pakistan Karachi of Kala Parishad organized a compelling program in honor of distinguished Urdu writer, comicist, broadcaster and diplomatic SID Ahmed Shah Patrus Bukhari.

The ceremony was held at Hasina Moin Hall, presided over by the famous Kavita Zehra Nagh. Presidency Arts Council, Muhammad Ahmed Shah were also present on the occasion.

Veteran actor and music composer Arshad Mahmood received as a host, who was involved in a dialogue with Ayaz Bukhari during the event. His conversation highlighted various aspects of Patus Bukhari’s life and contribution. The famous literary figures, including Zia Mohyadin and Ifatkhar Arif, were displayed as part of the tribute to video messages characterized by reflections.

A dramatic performance called “Cinema of Cinema” by artists Faraz Chutani and Hamza Ranja fascinated the audience with their unique acting, which made the hall laugh and applause.

The program saw a major attendance from the personalities associated with literature and art. In his President’s address, Zehra Gaze shared heartfelt memories, saying, “Today, the past is clearly before my eye.

Speaking at the event, Ayaz Bukhari revealed that Patrus Bukhari had ancestral roots in Bukhara and had migrated from there in the 1800s. At home, many languages were spoken, including individuals, Urdu, Hindus, Pashto, Arabic and English. He said that Patus Bukhari’s father also had a deep passion for poetry.
