Travis Decker Manhunt: Reduced research efforts due to the “decrease in tracks and advice”: Sheriff

Almost two months after allegedly murdered his three daughters, the County Sheriff’s Bureau of Chelan said that he was starting to reduce research efforts for Travis Decker.

Paitact Decker, 9 years old; Evelyn Decker, 8; And Olivia Decker, 5, was found dead near the rock field of Rock Island in the county of Chelan, Washington, on June 2, after leaving the house for a visit scheduled with their father on May 30, according to the police.

Although the search for Decker continues, the officials said on Friday that he would do it with a “reduced imprint while the criminal investigation remained in progress” and described the research efforts around the desert and the scene of initial crime as “exhaustive”.

The County Sheriff’s Bureau of Chelan has published photos of Travis Decker in a desired poster.

“To date, Mr. Decker has still not been located, and there is not enough information to suggest that he is alive, nor if he died,” said the sheriff’s office.

Despite a “decrease in tracks and advice” on the site of Decker, the Sheriff’s office said that detectives remain “actively engaged in the processing of evidence and will continue to follow” from any new information they receive at the place where the father is possible – including the observation of Idaho earlier this month

The most recent research of Decker was carried out in the Blewett Pass area in the mountains of Wenatchee, but the “potential evidence and the information collected in this area is not conclusive, which means that we cannot confirm that none of the information is directly associated with Mr. Decker,” said officials.

Three young sisters in Washington, Olivia Decker, 5, Paitact Decker, 9, and Evelyn Decker, 8 who had not been seen since they left the house for a visit planned with their father were found dead, according to the Wenatchee police service.

Officials have also said that those who “come across something to mark the location using GPS or another marking form if they are able to take it, and even take photos if they are sure.”

The sheriff of the county of Chelan, Mike Morrison, told ABC News earlier this month that the authorities remain “fully” that they find decker and know that this hunt could be a “long term”.

“We could fight for five years, 10 years, 20 years. I hope we are looking at a few weeks and it ends, but it could be long and we are committed to staying with it,” Morrison told ABC News.

The US Marshal Service still offers a reward of up to $ 20,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of Decker.

The officials said that whoever sees Decker or knows where he is should call 911 immediately and not contact or approach him. He is currently wanted for three heads of first degree murder and three kidnapping chiefs, officials said.

Decker is expected to be considered armed and dangerous, officials said.
