Lahore, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th July 2025) Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA), Vice Chairperson (VC), Jahan Manzoor Watu, paid a special visit at the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) center at the largest Tehra of Depalpur.
He was warmly welcomed by Assistant Commissioner Deepalpur, Faisal Walid and Deputy Director Bisp.
Given the journey, VC reviewed the facilities.
Speaking to the media, Shehlite said that Deaspur 67 meets Union Councils, with finance assistance, more than 90,000 qualified persons have been proved under BISP.
He insisted that involvement of people of diverse background in the program is a will for its effectiveness in giving real relief to the marginalized communities.
Jahan Vatu further stated that BISP is a national level social security initiative aimed at the provision of the weakest population, making them capable of living alive. He said that this program plays an important role in women’s empowerment, reduces economic inequality along with improving children’s health and education.
Vice Chairperson also raised awareness about the Zwar-e-claim program, stating that with 80% attachment of 80% of women students from grade 6 to 10 with a quarterly stitred of Rs 3,000 with 80% attachment of 80%. He insisted that PSPA aims beyond financial evaluation, its purpose is to pay the way for sustainable development through education and awareness. Programs like Zawar-e-Kilm not only encourage girls to pursue education, but also motivate parents to take their daughters’ school education seriously.
Vice Chairperson Watu also highlighted that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a modern, integrated and dynamic database is being developed for the effective social welfare scheme throughout the province. The Punjab Socio-Conservative Registry (PSER) is conducting a provision-to-door survey to accurately connect the social-economic conditions of families with all the sections of sociality, this Suroy, this Suroy.
