An airplane made an emergency landing in Minneapolis-St. Paul’s international airport on Wednesday after dozens of passengers were injured by “important” turbulence in flight.

The airport indicates that Delta Air Lines Flight 56 on the way from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam was diverted to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, landing safely around 7.45 p.m.

The MSP airport fire service and several paramedical paramedics responded to the door, providing initial medical care to passengers in need. Delta claims that 25 passengers were transported to local hospitals for evaluation and care.

“We are grateful for the support of all the emergency stakeholders involved,” said a Delta spokesperson. “Security is our value n ° 1 at Delta, and our Delta care team works directly with customers to meet their immediate needs.”

The plane, an Airbus A330-900, had 275 customers and 13 crew members on board.
