The shadow of politics on the candle of education

Education, which is the only hope of the bright future of a nation, has become a victim of politics, corruption, negligence and misconduct in West Bengal today. The scheme with the Mumtabnarji -led government, with which the educational structure schemes are not only the result of mismanagement, a discussion is a political plan, aimed at depriving people of education and converting them into an unprecedented vote bank. This is not just an allegation, but a fact based on the ground facts, which confirms the upcoming reports, delayed decisions, suspension of admission to colleges and suspending vacant teachers.

Education is a continuous flow, from class to class and institutions to institutions, but here the case is quite opposite. The results of higher secondary examinations are released in June, but admission to graduate colleges is still pending. The reason is made up of a technical excuse, complications of the OBC certificate. Although the Supreme Court has made it clear that the admission process cannot be stopped on this basis, the government has come under stubbornness and has sacrificed the academic year. The central interior portal started late and is still not entering. Sharadatsu (Dargapoja) is near, colleges are about to be closed and semester examinations are prepared to conduct the examinations without teaching. Engineering colleges are vacant, the results of the Joint Examination (JEE) for three months are not known. The future of the students has been put into the black hole. Children from middle and poor families are working and working in factories, shops and construction places. Millions of youth have given up their dreams and have gone out to break the stones. Mamta government is not ashamed of this, there is no concern.

Now see another picture, money is being shed in the name of Durga Puja because everything is fine in the state. Last year, a grant of 85,000 was given, this year, 10,000. Addressing representatives of worship committees from across the state at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata on 25 July 2024, Mamata Banerjee announced that Rs. This time 10,000 will be given for Durga Puja. That is, do not educate the children of the people, but add millions of rupees under the statue.

Not only this, 80 % subsidy is not worshiped on electricity, police, traffic, health, CCTV, drone, carnival, light, stage, ambulance, political spectacle is happening. Is education so useless that it does not spend a penny on it and spends millions of sheds on worship? In fact, Mumtabnarjee has made the state a populist circus, where there will be worship, rally and carnival, but schools will not have a book, nor a teacher. This is not only vote bank politics, an intellectual massacre. Last year, the puja committees refused to donate, Mamta openly threatened that she would not be funded. This means that donation is also a bribe, weapons to buy loyalty. If you are triangular, you will get money, even if the school is burnt. If you raise the question, you will be removed.

The opposition is screaming, but the sound is killing the walls. The opposition says that first government employees give DA, job, then worship. But the government does not mean. This only means vote. Education does not vote, gives emotions, gives sculptures, loudspeakers, crowds. And these are weapons of Mamta’s politics.

Of course, Durga Puja is an important part of Bengal culture. But when children have a donation receipt in the future of unemployment instead of the book and future, know that civilization is not left, only the crowd is saved and maintaining the crowd from education is the most successful government of the Mamta government.
The question is not whether Durga Puja is celebrated or not, the question is whether the use of state resources should only be used festivals and specific religious sentiments? And also that when the education sector is running, public schools are deserted, young people are at the door of suicide due to unemployment!

It seems as if the main point of the educational policy of the state has become to deprive the people of education so that they do not question, do not protest and be ready to vote on each festival. This is not only the decline of education, it is a generation of suicide and the responsibility of this crime is directly on the government which is provoking the goddess of political interest in the name of education.
