An interesting thing to note is how some of the names of characters align with an early and allegedly demystified relationship.

It was previously reported that the name of the Slayer in the restart would be Nova and that she would have a pair of friends: Hugo and Gracie.

Hugo was described as a “out and proud” Nerd of a rich family, while Gracie was described as a Gellar’s Buffy acolyte. However, Gellar later demystified these reportscalling them “false”.

However, according to Variety’s new story, Sarah Bock’s characters are called Gracie, while Faly Rakotohavana will play a character named Hugo.

These five additions to the distribution represent the first casting news for the restart of “Buffy” since his announcement, Ryan Kiera Armstrong had been exploited to play the new Slayer in May.

Sarah Michelle Gellar announced that Armstrong had been thrown through a video on InstagramAnd subtitles the video with “I want to present to you @ryankarmstrong from the moment I saw Ryan’s hearing, I knew that there was only one girl that I wanted by my side. To have this kind of emotional intelligence, and talent, at such a young age is really a gift. The bonus is that his smile is even the darkest room. Welcome to #Newsunnydale.”

There have also been a lot of speculation on whom else of the original series could come back for the restart of “Buffy”. This speculation did not intensify until June when Gellar was cited by saying that it wanted to bring back dead characters.

“It will be lighter than the last seasons of the original,” said Gellar. “We will try to find a balance between the new and ancient characters. My dream is to bring all those who are dead, but the space will also have to be made for new stories.”
