According to the American Coast Guard, two teams did not respond to rescue teams after a small plane off the coast of the county of Monterey, according to the American Coast Guard.
MONTEREY County officials alerted Monterey de la Coastière station at 10:55 p.m. on Saturday that a double -engine Beechcraft with three people on board had crushed around 200 to 300 meters off, near the historic Pinos Pinos headlight at Pacific Grove, the Coast Guard said in a press release Sunday.
The plane took off from San Carlos Airport at 10:11 p.m. and was last seen at 10:37 p.m. near Monterey, according to Flight Aware flights.
The Coast Guard launched a 29 -foot response boat that arrived at the scene shortly after 11 p.m.
A coastal guard helicopter and three teams from the Forestry and Fire Protection Department also helped research, as well as two CAL drones. Several local law organizations have also helped the response.
Beech was located, according to the Coast Guard.
The plane was to leave for Gooding Municipal Airport in Idaho Sunday morning – a two -hour flight and 48 minutes – and return to Monterey later during the day.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the accident.
ABC7 News in San Francisco reported that the plane coins, including at least one wheel, had been washed on Asilomar State Beach on Sunday morning.
