A violent attack in Central Paris has left a person with a hard drive with a bitcoin worth € 2 million.
The incident, which is the latest in a glory of crypto-fixed crimes in Task Place, France on Tuesday evening on 5 August.
Details of the attack
For local media reports, the incident began from around 7:15 PNINSULA Hotel, which is a luxury estabulsion located on Avenue Cleber in the 16th Arrondssment of Paris. The hotel staff warned five unidentified men after one of their guests and after witness to life, “Give us 400,000 euros, and it is over.” The victim was then forcibly taken from the hotel to an arch de Tramf, where he was assigned.
Crime Anti-Crime Brigade officials quickly responded and dropped all the five suspects in the 8th Erundesment. Initial investigation revealed that the group may be connected to a nearby nightclub, where the victim allegedly owes € 40,000. Police believe that the suspects were trying to collect that loan with force.
The victim was briefly interviewed by the authorities and Syed was beaten and threatened. He reports that the attackers have their iPhone 13 Pro Max and a hard drive with a bitcoin price of about € 2 million. He said that a previous incident was opened a week ago, which was discussed by the same person.
The suspects were first detained at the District Police Headquarters for forced recovery. Duining at night, investigators of the Anti-Handitism Brigade handled the case. The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed that five people were in custody and were investigated and heart outgoing.
