A mother, her teenage son and her best friend have become viral while adolescents react to some of the biggest successful songs of the previous generation.
Ramee Sharpe, 40, lives in Illinois, and is the mother of Braden, 17, whom she described as “attached to the hip” to her best friend, John.
“When you have adolescents, their friends become family because you can’t see them without the other,” she said.
In recent weeks, Sharpe, John and Braden have raised a general public on Tiktok after Sharpe’s friend Dinah suggested participating in a trend that sees Gen-Z teenagers react to their parents’ music.
And, as Sharpe said: “It’s it. My page went from 13,000 subscribers to more than 60,000 in a week.”
Specifying the boys, she called them “hilarious” and said that it was “such a fun way to spend time together”, with online subscribers involved by making song suggestions in the comments.
Such a video has exploded in popularity, because Sharpe has decided to treat young people of null other than Bloodhound Gang The bad touch –Released in 1999, when Sharpe was 15 years old and years before the birth of boys.

The song, from the album Hourra for crazywas notoriously suggestive and as coarse as possible: he struck the number one in the charts of several countries at his release.
Braden and John, however, had never heard it before. And in a video published on the Tiktok account of Sharpe @rameelin in July, saw more than 3.2 million times, she fell and watched the duo listen for the first time.
At the beginning of the words, Braden turns to his mother in an open shock, while she was laughing. Sharpe cannot hold back his laughs – then the incredibly catchy refrain lights up, featuring the lyrics, “You and me, baby, it’s nothing but mammals / So let’s do it as they do on the discovery chain.” But far from the mortified looks since the start of the video, this is the point that sees the boys hanging on, and the two start to nod at the rate.
At the end, the two boys dance along and Sharpe is still in the stitches behind them.
Sharpe explained to Nowsweek That his son Braden is himself a musician, writing and interpreting his own songs under the name of Bud Larson Music, whom he publishes on his own account @bradenlarson.
“Music is literally the heart rate of our house, so this series was an excellent addition to the pleasure,” she said.

And Tiktok users loved it, it’s about video – with regard to nearly 200,000 likes – as a commentator has written that “today’s children do not even know what the discovery channel reference means!”
“When they started in Bopping, I lost it,” laughs another, and no one said: “I have the impression that horror is slowly fading and they come to our music!”
Others recalled that they had found the song in their own childhood, one sharing: “I had my mother listened to when I was eight years old every time we went to the zoo because I was convinced that they were animals.”
“I had nothing to do knowing this word for the age I did,” laughed with another in agreement: “I used to sing this song at the age of 9 when it came out and I did not know what it was.”
Making the series was fun for Sharpe and his family, especially since she started the project with Braden and John in the middle of a difficult period: her eldest daughter left her her home and the 15th anniversary week of her daughter of the deceased Mabel.
As she said: “I needed the distraction and lightness that this trend brought to my days.”
