A registered sex offender was arrested earlier this week in Burbank after sniffing a woman’s back, police said.
Burbank police were sent to a Nordstrom rack on North Victory place after a report by someone hanging out in the women’s department. Their investigation led them to a nearby Walmart where they used the store’s monitoring system to follow a man according to a clientele, according to a press release from the Burbank Police Service.
The police looked at the suspect to follow the woman, squatting behind her and committed themselves “in obscene behavior by inappropriately sniffing her buttocks,” the statement said.

The suspect, Calese Carron Crowder, 38, was then detained.
Crowder has a documented story of arrests in incidents similar to Burbank and Glendale dating from 2021, according to the press release.
