The federal government has decided to launch an e -bike scheme to promote eco -friendly electric vehicles and motorcycles to deal with import bills and to deal with environmental challenges.
The government has drafted the e -bank scheme while Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the Electric Bike Scheme on August 14.
According to sources, the government has allocated Rs 9 billion in the current budget for subsidy on e -bike.
In case of excessive applications, there will be online registration for electric motorcycles.
The government will give a subsidy of Rs 65,000 on electric bikes, while the remaining money bank will provide unpaid.
Officials say that the number of e -bikes in the country will increase by at least 20 million by 2030, including 53 thousand 950 e -clocks, 99,555 cars, two thousand two hundred 38 buses and two thousand nine hundred sixty -sixty -sixty trucks.
In the next five years, a total of 22 lakh 13 thousand 115 e -vahels have been set, in the first phase, 40 fast charging stations will be set up across the country. Islamabad plans to create a model city for electric vehicles.
Charging points will be available at all petrol pumps in the federal capital.
