An important meeting in the field of precious stones and jewelery was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Jam Kamal Khan, which discussed issues related to the development of the sector, increased exports and access to international markets.
Addressing the meeting, the federal minister said that the government is fully committed to promoting unconventional exports and the field of precious stones and jewelry can play an important role in this export strategy. He assured that the Ministry of Commerce will provide full assistance to the region.
Jam Kamal Khan said that the recommendations made by the ministry will be sent to the Prime Minister’s office soon so that the necessary measures can be ensured at the policy level.
The meeting also considered the restoration of SRO 760 and a possible exception to SRO 924. The Commerce Minister directed that the region should be given full representation in international trade forums, especially to ensure participation in forums in France, Bangladesh and Ethiopia.
He emphasized that public and private sector partnership would provide a new dimension to the precious stone industry, and the government will take all possible steps to take advantage of the full capacity of the sector.
The federal minister said that rural skilled and economic participation of women is one of the top priorities of the government, and their participation in the jewelry sector can provide a strong base for the industry.
