Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar presided over a high -level meeting on the subject of cooperation between the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) and the United Nations in the United Nations Security Council, saying that Islamophobia is a global growing threat, which would be a common strategy for the world.
Ishaq Dar said that collective action against Islamophobia is unavoidable and the international community will have to take practical steps on this sensitive issue.
He emphasized that the oppressed people of the occupied Kashmir should be given their fundamental right to self -devotion, which has been promised in the resolutions of the United Nations.
The Deputy Prime Minister honored the chairmanship of the meeting for Pakistan and said that the increasing cooperation between the OIC and the United Nations can play an important role in dealing with humanity faces.
He said that OIC has played an important role for peace not only in occupied Kashmir, but also in other troubled areas including Libya, Syria, Afghanistan and Yemen.
Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan is completely convinced that OIC’s relationship with the United Nations should be strong and meaningful.
It should be remembered that two days ago, the Security Council unanimously approved the proposal submitted by Pakistan, which urged the member states to resolve international disputes with peaceful sources such as interaction, arbitration or judicial decisions.
