Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has said that Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to the unconditional ceasefire on Monday.

The fight between Thailand and Cambodia began last Thursday when five Thai soldiers were injured, when a landmine on the border exploded.

Both sides were accused of launching clashes. So far, at least 35 people have died in these clashes, while more than 200,000 people have been displaced on both sides.

After the fight began, the two countries withdrew their ambassadors and Thailand closed all border routes with Cambodia.

Later, officials said that China and the US ambassador also participated in talks in Malaysia.

The conversation between Thailand and Cambodia leaders began to follow the direct pressure of US President Donald Trump.

The US President warned that “If tension continues, the United States will not transfer trade agreements with both countries.”
