New Delhi, (UNI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday reserved its verdict after hearing the writ petition of Justice Yashwant Verma, which was facing allegations of recovery of money.

A bench of Justice Dipankar Dutta and AG Masih also cited a proposal in Parliament to remove Justice Verma from the post of High Court judge, showing that the court may want to avoid interfering in the case.

Commenting on the issue of mentioning the court against the internal committee of the then Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Sanjeev Khanna, he said that Justice Verma’s behavior does not instill confidence.

On the arguments of senior advocate Kapil Sabal presented by him, the bench said, “The problems you (Justice Verma) are raising are important, but they could be raised earlier. So it seems that your behavior does not create confidence. You don’t want to present anything here. Let the Parliament decide whether it is worth it.
