“It will be combined with the IMG in 2022 as part of the long -term strategic partnership of the game to determine the membership of the Super League, which is chaired by an independent panel Lord Jonathan Kane, which was recently elected as a member of the board.

“At the end of the domestic season of 2025, the top 12 clubs under the grading will be included in the two clubs proposed by this panel – provided that the panel judge has two merit applications against the standard appointed.

“Super League clubs have the right to determine the number of clubs in the competition.

“Further details of the panel formation and process time will be verified in the appropriate time.

“On Monday afternoon, the current 12 clubs at AMT Headingley were more likely to extend the immediate expansion of 14 clubs.”
