South African young batsman Jorich Wane Falk Vik crossed the new milestone in the history of U -19 OD cricket, which scored the first double century of Youth of One Day International.

The 18 -year inaugural batsman made a feat against Zimbabwe U -19 in the opening match of the three -Nations series in Harare, where he played a brilliant innings of 215 off just 153 balls. His stormy innings consisted of 19 fours and six sixes.

This is the first dual century of any batsman in this format, while the first individual score was 191 runs, which was scored by Sri Lanka’s Heath Boygoda in 2018.

Thanks to Jorich Wan’s historic innings, the South African U -19 team scored 385 runs in the scheduled overs and gave Zimbabwe a big target, in response to which Zimbabwe’s team was out for just 107 runs in the 25th over.

Thus the South African U -19 team not only started the series by winning the match by a huge margin of 278 runs, but Jorich Wayne’s innings became part of history as a memorable moment at the young level.
