A news release on Thursday stated that the decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Energy and Planning and Development Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Interior and Law Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Langer.

The meeting, the Department of Energy reviewed the budget of SSVB, which is required for the financial year 2024-25.

The members of the committee directed to revive all legal and financial concepts before the Finance was issued by the Finance Secretary, in consultation with the provincial ministers.

A major decision was taken in the meeting to introduce the razor readers in all waste collection vehicles. This technique will be enabled in the account of waste transport, ensuring that contractors are strictly paid based on the actual weight of waste.

The purpose of the initiative is to curb fund misuse and increase transparency.

The committee also ordered re -evaluation of existing contracts with waste management contractors, not that Sindh rats were higher than other areas. All contracts have to be modified and renewed within 3 to 6 months.

Minister Nasir Shah emphasized the need for effective and transparent waste management operations, especially in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkna, where SSOMB currently gives 24 million people an estimated servant. He called the contactors and a system for timely payment that ensures uninterruptedly clean services.

The committee was informed that the total expenditure of SSWMB is Rs. 43 billion, with expected revenue of rupee. 10 billion from final running projects.

The meeting was attended by Plan and President of Satan Najam Shah, Finance Secretary Fayz Jetoi, Secretary of the local government and senior officials.
