Karachi, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2025) Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh, held a meeting with Zimbabwe’s ambassador with a meeting of Pakistan’s mutual cooperation and bilateral relations.
The meeting was associated with CM Abdul Rahm Sheikh Secretary, Karachi Syed Majar Nasir’s Honorary Consul General of Zimbabwe, Deputy Chief of Mission Webster and Syed Azhar Ali, representative of Pakistan-Zimbabwe Business Council.
The meeting focused on increasing bilateral relations and searching for areas of mutual interest, which definitely in the fields of trade, education, information technology, tourism, agriculture and industrial development.
The Ambassador of Zimbabwe accepted the role of Pakistan Air Force in the training of a person of Zimbabwe Air Force.
CM Murad Ali Shah insisted that the director air connectivity between Karachi and Zimbabwe will greatly promote business and people-to-path connectivity. He said that at present textile and pharmaceutical products are being exposed from Pakistan to Zimbabwe, but there is a huge ability to expand the scope.
The Chief Minister said, “There has been no adequate trade between Pakistan and Zimbabwe since 1995,” the Chief Minister said that cooperation in education, IT, price-reading texpels, and food exports can revive relations.
Shah also emphasized the capacity for COO for tourism and agricultural development, stating that Sindh and Zimbabwe are shared supplements that can be tapped into mutual benefits.
Muurad Shah proposed to host a Pakistan-Zimbabwe investment conference, which can be held through video links to bring stakeholders of the two sides together to find out opportunities in business, tourism and cultural exchange.
The Chief Minister directed the Sindh Investment Department and the Culture and Tourism Department to initiate formal coordination with the Zimbabwe Embassy to plan and define the priority areas for cooperation.
Ambassador Abu Basutu expressed his keen interest in working with Sindh on agriculture and tourism, and proposed to expand cooperation in education and IT. It may not be an export item of INTOR for Zimbabwe’s Tea Pakistani market.
It agreed that the two sides would jointly identify areas for trade and investment cooperation. Provincial ministers and officials of Zimbabwe Embassy also expect to submit their recommendations for upcoming virtual conferencing.
