Shahzad Rai, a social worker and founder of The Life Trust, has also come to the fray, raising her voice to bring justice with a teacher torture in a Madrasa in Swat.
In his video message on X, he said that Section 89, which justifies physical punishment, is now part of the past. Therefore, teachers who torture children cannot be forgiven.
Shahzad Rai appealed to parents and students to break the silence against atrocities and report such incidents to save innocent children like Farhan.
Shahzad Rai, a social worker, singer and founder of Jeevan Trust, said in a video statement on the social networking site that a 14 -year -old boy named Farhan was studying in Khwaja Khel, Swat. The madrasa teacher tortured the child so much that he died.
He said that Farhan’s killers will not be saved. The purpose of making my video is to protect children like Farhan from such events.
Shahzad Rai said that a law in the country was section 89. According to this law, the teacher could kill the children well. The Life Trust filed a constitutional petition against this law in the Islamabad High Court. Chief Justice Islamabad High Court denied the Constitution. He said that it has been happening for years that teachers used to misuse the law. When they are caught on violence, they say they have been killed for the good of children.
The law of Section 89 in the country has been abolished. Now no teacher can harass the student. Shahzad Rai said that if a student, whether Madrasa or school, if the teacher tortures a child, it is a legal offense. I appeal to the children that if their teachers torture, tell your parents and parents to report these incidents.
“We all have to play their role in stopping these events,” said Shahzad Rai. He also thanked the IG Police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the arrest of the accused.
