Several senior FBI officials have been ousted from their work this week, familiar sources with the affirmed case in ABC News, including the former office director of the office who previously resisted efforts to compile a list of agents who worked on the investigation into the attack on January 6, 2021 against the American Capitol.
Sources tell ABC News that among people informed of their layoffs are the former acting director of the FBI, Brian Driscoll, deputy director in charge of the Washington, the Steven Jensen field office and Walter Giardina and Christopher Meyer agents.
It does not seem that anyone was informed of the justification of their layoffs, the sources said.
It is a story in development. Please check the updates.
