Special Olympic athletes of the US and the UK also did particle.
The phenomenon is an important milstone for inclusive sports in the United Arab Emirates, which is for individuals with intestines and developmental disorders. The aim was to expand the participation and create a more accessible sports experience by levaraming innovative technology and purposefully designed golf environment.
The competition followed an eight -week National Training Program, which began in May, was possible through a MoU between Special Olympic UAE and Topgolf Dubai through a Memorandum (MO). Athletes across the country participated in structured training and national qualifiers, with 72 persons eventually selected to represent the UAE in this international event.
Participants were selected on the basis of time-based demonstration metrics, age eligibility and consent; Each athlete was requested to complete at 80% of the training sessions.
Due to the nature of the game and logistic challenges associated with large in-Person meetings, the tournament used advanced technology to play at many levels. This enabled over 36 athletes to compete simultaneously per floor, allowing wide inclusion and more dynamic tournant format.
All athletes were registered electronically and evaluated using competition-specific benchmarks. For the majority, it marks the first experience to participate in a Topgolf Commission, allowing the UAE’s strong representation espctive.

Topgolf Dubai General Manager Mike Walton remarked: “We are proud to host this first-to-curvine event in partnership with Special Olympic International. The initiative was really strong by Ethles in the last eight weeks.
The tournament was held in coordination with a global work group which included Special Olympic International, Special Olympic Texas and Topgolf. Together, they developed a compression virtual competition Framework and technical standards to ensure fair and equitable sports.
