Serious floods triggered by Storm Opper kills at least 3 in Vietnam

With a long coastline in front of the South China Sea, Vietnam suffers from typhoon that often causes fatal floods and mudslides. This year is the first major storm to hit the country.

More than 3,700 houses in NGHE have declined a province due to flood waters, and were damaged by another 459 varieties. Floodwets also damaged 1,600 hectares of rice plantation and 1,290 hectares of cash crows in the province.

The government’s weather forecast agency said heavy rains reaching 250 mm on Thursday and Friday are expected and last Saturday in many parts of Northene Vietnam, probably causes over floods.
