Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan has become more important in the context of the development of China -Pakistan Economic Corridor (C -PAC), which is the top priority of the government.
Presiding over a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday about the security arrangements of Chinese people in Pakistan, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said, “We are creating a safe and commercial atmosphere for the Chinese community in the country.”
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister of the Prime Minister in Islamabad on Tuesday, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said in the meeting that the China -Pakistan Economic Transit Scheme is now entering the second phase, in which issues on a trade -bussan style between the two countries will be resolved.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the trust of Chinese companies in the Pakistani economy is very important for our economic future.
He issued instructions to take priority measures to facilitate the transport of Chinese people at airports across the country.
He said, “Several steps are being taken to protect Chinese people across the country including the federal capital Islamabad.
“Safe city projects are being constructed across the country.”
The Prime Minister also informed the Prime Minister about the progress of special security arrangements for Chinese people across the country.
Speaking in briefing, Federal Internal Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that special security arrangements are applicable for Chinese residents in view of the concerns of terrorism.
“Federal and all provinces are working with full support in this regard.”
Briefing states that ‘the projects of safe city across the country are under construction, while Chinese people are also being provided with security infections for travel.’
Officials said in briefing that quality cameras of safe city would be installed in all new residential projects.

The meeting was also attended by Information Minister and Broadcasting Minister Atullah Tarad, Minister of State Talal Chaudhary, Assistant Special Tariq Fatimi of the Prime Minister and other senior officials.
There are a large number of Chinese citizens in Pakistan, most of whom are running under C -Peak and many others have been deployed to work at work.
There have also been several incidents of attacks on Chinese people living in Pakistan, in which many Pakistani nationals and security personnel have also died.
The Chinese people have been targeted by separatist terrorists who believe that Beijing is helping Pakistan take advantage of mineral resources in Balochistan, where China has invested in mineral industry besides Gwadar.
In 2024, Beijing proposed to deploy Chinese security forces to ensure thousands of works in different parts of Pakistan and the safety of Chinese residents.
