The NGO report on sexual exploitation and misconduct of children in the country has revealed disturbing revelations.
According to the report, a total of 1956 children were reported from across the country, while in the first six months of 2025, 950 children were reported to have sexual abuse.
Non -governmental organization coast reports that 605 cases of kidnapping were registered from January to June. Similarly, cases of disappearance of 192 children have been reported across the country, while this year 34 children were reported to have marriage or cases.
In addition, 62 cases were reported in which newborns were found dead or alive at various places. Of the reported cases, (1019), 52 % of affected girls, and (875), 44 % were boys, boys. 3 % of the cases were new born children.
According to the report, a group of 11–15 years of age is the most affected in continuous events. In the category of 11–15, a total of 658 children were abused, out of which 72 % of cases were reported from Punjab and 22 % from Sindh.
Similarly, 6 % of cases were from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, GB, Azad Kashmir and Federal.
59 % of cases were reported from urban areas and 41 % of cases were reported from rural areas, while 389 cases were not mentioned at the age of affected children. Similarly, 49 % of cases involved in misbehavior were familiar while 20 % were strangers in cases.
83 % of the victims filed a complaint with the police. 27 cases were unregistered at the police station and in one case the police refused to register.
Non -government organization has been working on the protection of children paying special attention to sexual abuse since 1996. The purpose of the coast is to create a protective environment for children who are free from all forms of violence, especially free from sexual abuse of children. The organization has also provided legal and psychological assistance to the victims.
