Saudi Arabia and other countries have welcomed Palestine’s declaration of France as an independent state.
According to the French news agency AFP, French President Emmanuel McCeresrs have said that they will officially announce the Palestinian state in September at the United Nations General Assembly.
McCeresrs announced this on the social media platform ‘X’ and also sent a letter to Palestinian President Mahmood Abbas, which confirmed France’s intentions that it would recognize the Palestinian kingdom and encourage other countries.
According to the Reuters News Agency, McCerer said, “Under my historical commitment for fair and permanent peace in the Middle East, I have decided that France will recognize the Palestinian kingdom.”
“I will formally announce it in September at the United Nations General Assembly,” he said.
French officials said that this step would pave the way for the Palestinian state to work with other countries in the United Nations.
France will be the first Western European country to recognize the state of Palestinian to potentially increase the current pressure of anti -Israel countries.
