Sam Burns has qualified for the FedEx Cup Play Office and was not obliged to play this week. However, he chose against the break and is contested 3 meters open with just two weeks before the play office.

On Friday, July 26, Burns opened fire on 7 U -64, which made 82 spots jumping widely for deduction. After the second round, he was ranked 32nd at 7 under -Under.

During the interview after the round, Sam Burns was asked why he chose to play in the TPC’s twin cities despite being already within the top 30 in the Fed X Cup standing.

“I like the golf course,” he replied. “I think it fits like this in the schedule. I don’t really want to leave two weeks before the playoffs, so this kind of scheduling comes from a point of view. And Tracy West, who runs this program, works an incredible job, so I want to help him.”

He added, “This is a really well -operated tournament and they are a great sponsor, we are fortunate to get them. So it is nice to come here, get some great support and enjoy the golf course.”

The six -time PGA tour champion scored 71 runs in the opening round, but this day was a complete turn on 2. Talking about his performance, he looked satisfied with the round.

“In the early days, I was able to pierce some pots as I got a little faster. I did not accept the dirt like Monday 5s yesterday, so it was helpful. Yes, I would say very solid as a whole.”

Sam Burns has had a decent weather so far, with only three deductions missing and currently sitting in Fed X Cup standing. However, he has not tasted victory in the last two season.
