A serial rapist who used meeting applications to meet his victims was sentenced to state prison on Thursday to 111, according to a statement from the Ventura county prosecutor’s office.
Dustin Ronald Alba, a 31 -year -old man from Oxnard, was found guilty of rape and sexual assault of five women last month. He committed his offenses from 2012 to 2020 in the cities of Thousand Oaks, Oxnard and Los Angeles, according to the press release.
Several Alba victims said they had met him online via meetings and social media applications. After meeting in person, they said that he would use his body weight to confine and then the assault, according to the press release.

A woman he met through a meeting application in August 2020 described how she and Alba spent a day together in Oxnard. Once back home, she said that she had “torn her clothes, pulled her on the bed and she penetrated digitally and raped her,” the statement said.
Before meeting in person, the woman told Alba that she did not want to “connect,” the statement said.
Subsequently, she reported rape to the police, officials said. The Sheriff’s Bureau of the county of Ventura, which investigated the case, found SMS on his phone to other women whom Alba had attacked, and four other victims were discovered.
He was arrested in September 2020, said the district prosecutor’s office.
Alba was found guilty of nine charges of forced sex crime, including rape, sodomy and the attempted rape forced, the statement said.
Additional allegations and aggravating charges against him understand that there were several victims, the victims were vulnerable and that Alba abused a trusted position, according to the press release.
“The accused’s sexual violence has damaged many victims, justifying the penalty inflicted,” said the deputy for the county of Ventura. Atty. Rosa Romero, who continued the case, said in a statement. “Although nothing can erase the endured pain, I hope that the victims will begin to heal.”
