“Some of them have to leave their ego. When you just want to walk and do what you want to do, there is a big problem.”
Russell Martin has already said that the Scottish Premier Ship is the place where his Rangers team will really be decided, and they have not wasted time to tell the players what they think after more drop points.
The new head coach refuses to use his Champions League achievements to draw with Mother Well at FIR Park, telling Sky Sports that he is “fortunate to get a point” because fans have promoted them full -time.
“We were nowhere to be where we needed to be, and I am very disappointed and hurt,” he said.
“They were brave than us, they were more aggressive than us.
“There is a default in this football club, and this is not a person’s fault.
“To type default, when it is really going well, everyone is included and it is really good. When it’s not going well, you protect yourself a little and yourself.
“When you just want to go around and do what you want to do, there is a big problem.
“Some of them have to leave their ego, I will look at us in a strategy and accept my responsibility.
“But today, this is not really a strategy, it is a mentality issue, and we got more than what we actually deserved.”
“We need to work that really wants to be in and who does not.
“But Europe is not an excuse. This club demands play in Europe. We have qualified for it, so we are playing a lot in Europe and we are playing a lot of games after European Games, and we have to manage them today.”
Martin has signed eight summer and is expected to add further, but he has also warned players that they will not be going to make numbers.
“Sir [Dessers] The only one for which we really bid and it comes and he runs very hard. Some of them need to take a look at it and set this example.
“If they do not want to come, people will be left behind. They will be left behind because they really need to understand what it will take for this football club and what it means, and not just when it is going well.
“I know what we are coming to, and I understand the frustration of the fans.
“We are the only games, and it’s going on. We need to work quickly that really wants to hear, who will really fight the FIGHT, which will really go.”
Has Martin entered his players very quickly?
Sky Sports Pundits assessed the full -time decision of Russell Martin at FIR Park.
Chris Suton:
“He’s gone. Is he the right to do so? I think he is probably on balance.
“He understands the culture here, he thinks he has to win. He has gone very quickly with him, but this is a little disappointing, the first game of the season – the way he made himself easier to count the dressing room.
“For this, he is the first game of the season, he sees them in training every day, he should think that he is a rank. He should do it, because there will be a little balance there.
“When you have ever seen a manager come out of the team – and we all think he is fine, well – but when have you ever seen the manager playing the first game of the season? I said earlier, everyone is happy in the pre -season, everyone tells you that it’s amazing.
“Now the season has begun, it has to win, but it was extreme.”
Chris Boys:
“For a long time, many Rangers managers have brought sugar into a lot of things. When you hear Russell speak there, he gets angry.
“The dangerous thing for me is that he is calling them so quickly.
“He has to be ruthless. There are many players who have fled the top of the managers at this football club.
“He prepared one or two players in the sense that they had done well, but today there was a improvement of them, which was far away from it, and this is the same thing again.”
