The municipal department has revealed the lack of records of Rs 9.45 lakh in Punjab.
FY 2019 and 2020 audit reports presented to the Punjab Legislative Assembly, the record of the cost of the solid waste management project was not presented.
PC disappeared a contract and solid waste project.
Necessary documents were also not provided on the audit department’s repeated reminder. The audit team was not given a record of paying the fees of contractors, advisors and bank guarantee.
DG Local Government’s office has taken a stand to stay in the rest of the area offices.
The audit committee rejected the stand and directed the investigation in 45 days, while the audit identified the record in June 2019.
According to the audit report, departmental action against those responsible for violating the rules is necessary.
