Progress on setting up modern AI research centers in Pakistan

Federal Minister Shiza Fatima Khwaja included officials of Arizona State University and National Institute of Technology at Islamabad, which gave information about a briefing on bilateral participation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Modern Technology.

On this occasion, the establishment of AI Research Centers in Pakistan was discussed in collaboration with Arizona University.

The federal minister welcomed the cooperation between the National Institute of Technology Lahore and Arizona State University, saying that such partnership is an important milestone to promote technology education and research. He said that he was happy that Pakistani students were getting access to world -AI research and digital skills.

The federal minister said that its ministry is active in the establishment of a strong AI ecosystem through AI Hub, National AI Policy and International Partnership in IT Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan is moving in the right direction from the point of view of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s “Digital Nation Pakistan”, where international cooperation is being made the axis of national development.
