Islamabad, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th July 2025) Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday formed a committee under the chairmanship of the Minister for Ahsan Iqbal’s plan to align civil services with modern requirements and develop recommendations to improve civil service structure.

Presiding over a meeting about civil service reforms here, the Prime Minister directed to develop recommendations about the development of merit-based, KPI-based performance of top talents, and an ACR (annual confidential report) system and an ACR (annual confidential report) system and fragrance for effective options.
The recommendations should also include a plan to increase the capacity of officers through modern technology and systems, he said, insisting that the recommendations should lay the foundation for a permanent system, improve the government better, and to eliminate a continuous system to align civil services with contemporary demands.
He said that the purpose of reforms was one of the top priorities of the government to simplify the lives of common citizens and to make civil service more people.

Given briefing on civil service reforms, it was stated that suggestions were following recruitment, training, performance evaluation, salary effect and consultation on promotion service.
A comparative analysis of civil service reforms was also presented in other countries of the region along with Pakistan.
