Lahore:
At the behest of DG Food Authority Asim Javed, food safety teams discovered a fake unit making plastic bottle on Ferozepur Road.
In this unit, fake plastic bottles of major brands were being manufactured and these bottles were being supplied to fake drink units.
Food security teams recovered 1100 prepared fake plastic bottles during the night, checking the unit. Apart from this, 9 bottles of 2 mold dye, bling machine and plastic bottle pre -fom (raw material) were also seized.
DG Food Authority, Asim Javed said that the unit was hidden in a residential area where fake bottles were being constructed.
He said that poor plastic was being used during the manufacture of fake bottles, which are against laws.
Asim Javed said that the Food Authority teams immediately filed an FIR and strict action will be taken against the supply units of fake bottles.
He warned that the days of forces have been counted in the name of food and the Food Authority has adopted a zero tolerance policy.
He said that the supply of fake bottles has been thwarted by taking time on the secret information of the vigilance team.
