Karachi:
The Sindh government gave a major relief to the people and abolished the parking fee from urban roads in 25 cities of Karachi.
The provincial government has issued a notification to meet the ongoing parking fee, in which all the roads in the city have been banned from taking a fully charge parking fee.
The parking fee will now be charged only in plaza, plots or specific areas of specific councils.
Instructions have been issued to all cities municipal corporations to remove fees and implementation. A formal campaign has started to eliminate parking fee towards the municipality.
Action will be taken against those who take illegal parking charges.
Providing free parking facilities to citizens is a priority and KMC is now financially stable. Parking has been made free of cost on 46 roads in the city and the rest of the areas are also running.
