Gaza: Hamas has clearly stated that it will not surrender until a sovereign state is established, whose capital is Jerusalem (Holy Spirit). This statement is a fresh and harsh response to the state of surrender to the Israeli’s ceasefire.
The announcement is made at a time when Qatar and Egypt supported France and Saudi Arabia’s proposed plan that Hamas would have to hand over arms to the Palestinian Authority and support two solutions.
Hamas said in a statement: “As long as an independent, perfectly sovereign state is not established, we will not withdraw from our right to ‘armed resistance’.”
On October 7, 2023, Hamas militants attacked Israel, killing 1,200 people and took 251 hostages. Subsequently, over 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and most of the areas have been destroyed by Israeli military operations.
The Israeli government believes that the disarmament of Hamas is a condition for a ceasefire and a permanent peace agreement, while Hamas has denied it.
Last week, indirect conversation between Israel and Hamas on the 60 -day ceasefire and the release of hostages again failed. The difference, especially Israeli military withdrawal and safety controls, remain on important issues.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu recently stated that the free Palestinian state would be a platform for the destruction of Israel, and the safety control over Palestinian areas should be with Israel.
