Palestine should be given complete membership

New York:

At a world conference on the Palestinian issue at the United Nations, Pakistan strongly confirmed the support of Palestinians, demanding that Palestine be given full membership of the United Nations.

In his address, Deputy Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister Ishaq Dar called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, providing humanitarian support and elements involved in war crimes.

Addressing a conference organized by Saudi Arabia and France, Ishaq Dar welcomed France’s decision to recognize the state of Palestinian, saying it was time to recognize the rights of Palestinian people for the international community.

He said that the ongoing massacre in Gaza is a clear violation of international law, crimes against humanity should be stopped immediately.

Ishaq Dar said the problem has been solved for the last 75 years and it has not yet been solved, reflecting the collective failure of the international community.

He emphasized that the United Nations should give full membership to the Palestinian state so that real progress can be made towards solving the problem. Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan will continue its diplomatic support for Palestine’s legitimate rights and freedom.

United Nations Secretary -Genal Antonio Gutres described two -set solutions at the inaugural address of the conference, saying that Gaza’s destruction was unbearable and no justification could be appropriate.

French External Affairs Minister Jean Noel Barot also called the two -set solutions the only permanent method for both Israel and Palestine, saying that ending the war in Gaza is essential for the peace of the entire region.

On the other hand, the United States and Israel boycotted this global conference. US State Department spokesman Timi Bruce claimed that the conference was called inappropriate time and he could obstruct the peace process.

It should be remembered that the United Nations General Assembly decided to organize the conference last year, which was initially held in June, but was postponed after Iran’s Israeli invasion.

The leaders of the conference say that this step can prove to be a decisive turn at the end of peace and business in the region.
