Pakistan, US demanded expansion, stability in bilateral relations: DPM

Washington, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July 2025) Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar Friday said that Pakistan and the United States were demanding futures expansion and stability in bilateral relations.

He commented with his American counterpart Marco Rubio at Washington DC.

He hoped about positive priority in the ongoing trading dialogue between the two counties.

Earlier, US officials received Deputy Prime Minister on his arrival in the US State Department.

Pakistan’s ambassador to American Rizwan Saeed Sheikh also reported the Deputy Prime Minister.

Later, senior officials from both sides attended the delegation-level meeting.

This is the first face-to-face meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister and his US counterpart. Earlier, the two leaders had telephonic contacts.

Discussions of meeting on Pak-US relations and possible cooperation were organized in various fields.

The discussion focused on promoting bilateral trades and economic relations, cooperation in important fields including investment, agriculture, technology, minor, counter -retorism and regional peace.

The DPM paid tribute to the efforts of President Trump and US leadership in promoting global peace.

Ishaq Dar said, “Recently, President Trump’s role and efforts during the Pakistan-India tension were commendable.”

“Pakistan is an attractive destination for the American trade community and investors,” he said, “there is harmony in the attitude and interests of the two countries about regional peace.

DPM said, “The Pakistani community in the US is playing the role of a bridge between two counties.”

US State Secretary Marco Rubio accepted the huge sacrifices of Pakistan in the war on terrorism.

“Pakistan has always played a positive role in global and regional peace,” he said.

The two leaders re -confirmed their comments to promote bilateral relations and work together to make strong and comparative relations in various fields.

The meeting showed a long -standing partnership between Pakistan and the United States.

Later in a post on X, DPM Ishaq Dar said, “He pleased to meet Secretary Marco Rubio for a compressed discussion on the full spectrum of bilateral relatives. With a renewed focus on Pakistan-US partnership, economic, business, investment, IT/AI and CT cooperation.”

“We exchange views on the major regional and global devils. The multilateral forum with the United Nations Security Council and mutual honor, I believe that we can build a more stable, rich and mutually beneficial for our nations,” he said.
