US State Secretary Marco Rubio said during his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on his meeting in the United States that Pakistan has always played a positive role for regional and global peace.
Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with US State Secretary Marco Rubio at Washington DC on Thursday.
This was the first meeting between the two leaders, before the telephonic connections remained between them.
On the arrival of the US State Department (State Department), Ishaq Dar was welcomed by American officials. Pakistani Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh was also present on the occasion.
The meeting was attended by a high-level delegation from the two countries and discussed in detail about promoting cooperation in Pakistan-American bilateral relations, trade, investment, agriculture, technology, minerals and other fields.
Regional and global peace, especially anti -deforestation, were also discussed.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar praised US leadership and President Trump’s efforts to establish world peace and said that President Trump’s role in recent Pakistan-India tension had been admirable.

US State Secretary Marco Rubio, while accepting Pakistan’s sacrifices against terrorism, said that Pakistan has always played a positive role for regional and world peace.
Ishaq Dar said on the occasion that bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States want to expand and strengthen. He hoped that the ongoing trade dialogues were chasing positive development and Pakistan was an attractive destination for American investors.
He said that there is harmony between the situation of the two countries and the interests of regional peace, while the Pakistani community in the United States is playing a strong bridge between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the two leaders confirmed their commitment to work together to create strong and organized relations in various departments and to promote mutual cooperation.
